Hello! Thank you for your interest in our 2021 Company and Company Apprentice Auditions.

Deeply Rooted Dance Theater is seeking dancers with a strong background in modern, ballet, and African-based techniques for its professional company and company apprentice positions. The company offers a 26-week contract, including annual season performances in Chicago and New York as well as national and international touring.

*Auditions and season activities are subject to change due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Deeply Rooted will act in compliance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and city of Chicago guidelines to ensure the safety and appropriate protections for dancers and instructors.

Audition Process

The audition process consists of the following:

February 22–March 3: Open video submissions
March 21: Virtual audition (invitation only)
March 25–27: One-on-one call back interviews (virtual)
April 10: Final call back auditions (live in Chicago)*
