Company Audition 2022
Deeply Rooted Dance Theater is seeking dancers with a strong background in modern, ballet, and African-based techniques for its professional company and company apprentice program. The company offers a 26-week contract starting September 19, 2022 including annual season performances in Chicago and New York as well as national and international touring.
Due to the Chicago Triathlon, remember to allow plenty of time for travel.

*Auditions and season activities are subject to change due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Deeply Rooted will act in compliance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the city of Chicago guidelines to ensure the safety and appropriate protections for dancers and instructors.

As the new year brings us back to the studio, we have updates regarding the Chicago Vaccine Mandate. As you may know, on January 3, 2022, a vaccine mandate for individuals age 5 and up went into effect for several indoor business entities, including dance studios, in the City of Chicago.
Beginning Sunday, January 23, students ages 5 and older will be required to provide proof of vaccination upon entry. Individuals age 16+ will be required to provide photo ID along with their proof of vaccine. Those under age 16 will be required to show proof of vaccination. We will not be able to permit entry to anyone 5 years and older who has not been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless an exception applies. Proof of the medical or religious exemption and a COVID-19 test administered by a medical professional within the last 72 hours prior to entering a covered location will be required. The City of Chicago mask mandate also remains in effect for all public indoor settings. These mandates come directly from the City of Chicago and we hope you understand that we will be compliant with these direct orders.
